Hello lovelies.  Sorry for the delay but I'm super busy today.  The week flew by, which I'm not complaining about.  Also flying by, it's so windy in DC today.  Power lines fell near my apartment so lets hope I have electricity when I get home.  Any plans for the weekend?

Out of the Loop

Currently I'm working on an ad at work and my bosses want it to be purple and orange.  With my artistic background I feel strongly against using these two colors together, they aren't complimentary.  But then I saw Gucci using the combo in their Fall 2011 runway and thought to myself that maybe I'm just out of the loop.

Girl Crush: Alexa Chung

How adorable is this look?  She looks so chic by throwing a gray knit sweater over a girlish Louis Vuitton dress.  Also loving the satin bown pumps.

After reorganizing over the weekend, G and I (mostly myself) realized that we have way too many books.  Obviously my apartment isn't large enough for a library but a girl can at least dream for walls of endless shelves to hold every last book.

I'm not British but I'm crushing over these Queen rugs.  Although they are way too pretty to walk all over, they would be a perfect wall hanging, as shown.

A colorful floral scarf.  My current Burberry scarf screams winter; a pretty, pastel floral scarf would be perfect to mix with my winter coat at the moment to keep the sporadic days of 'spring' around longer.

Good morning!  I hope you all had a great weekend, and that you all had President's Day off.  G and I did quite a bit of furniture shopping (and purchasing) this weekend.  We finally ordered our sofa (pictured above) and I also bought a vintage cabinet to hide G's record player that has annoyingly been sitting in the floor of the back room since Christmas.  Now we just have to wait until the end of April for the sofa!

G and I are finally tackling our back room.  It has been the one room in the apartment we have sort of 'let slide' for over a year since it technically doesn't have a real purpose, besides housing the dog's cages at night.  We are leaving the walls white because of all the concrete walls and exposed duct work.  To liven up the one long wall we are hanging dozens of pictures and I think this one needs to be added pronto.

What I'm loving now...

Leopard.  I saw this photo of Jenna Lyons on Lucky.com and love the bold print, especially mixed with black, gold, and olive green.  Here are a few other leopard items I'm loving.
